Top Marks for Heat Recovery Installers

Burton upon Trent ventilation supplier Vortice has given top marks to Barratt contractor Linkwood Services for heat recovery system installation excellence. Linkwood is installing Vortice HR200 Evo heat recovery units in 189 new Barratt homes at Artisan Place in the heart of Harrow.

The development, just 13 minutes by tube from central London, is being built with the latest energy saving features and the Vortice ventilation products are one of a number of energy saving ideas, including smart metering.

Vortice Technical Manager Andrew Dickinson said: “It was a delight to see how well Linkwood Services are carrying out the ventilation installation. Our technical team had worked hard to specify the most energy efficient ventilation design possible for Artisan Place and Linkwood kept our master drawings on site so that their team could refer to them at all times. Their use of self seal ducting has also made the job easier to install and the householders will be rewarded by great energy efficiency.”

Liberty Place is a flagship development by David Wilson Homes in Warrington, Cheshire, comprising one and two bedroomed apartments aimed at first time buyers and downsizers.   Vortice was approached to assist in the design and specification of energy efficient ventilation systems for this prestigious development and worked alongside Warrington’s Thomson Electrical to train their team in best practice for these heat recovery unit installations.

The result has been excellent, with optimum system design followed by installation and commissioning excellence; this development is ideally placed to achieve the very best results and provide healthy, fresh air for its occupants.
